I too have been listening to old Stones stuff,I still love "Out of our Heads","December's Children" and a cd alot of people think is their worse album "Their Satanic Majestries Request". You should all give it another listen,it def holds its own. I think it is much better than "Emotional Rescue" "Dirty Work" "Bridges to Babylon" and "Black and Blue" although Black & Blue does have the song Memory Motel which is one of their best songs but I still think Black & Blue is a stinker.

Watched that Stones film on tv on Saturday, well part one anyway, was interesting and was followed by other bands doing their stuff and then the rock n roll circus, excellent:)

Didn't do much of anything yesterday so I started pulling out music that I haven't heard in a while. I pulled out a Stones disc called rarities 71-93. The very first song "Fancy Man Blues" starts playing and I realized that for whatever reason I never listened to this song. It has a nice blues feel to it and it reminded me that the Stones started as a blues/rock band and still are. It's a great song,if you haven't listened to it,by all means take a few minutes and listen to I think one of the best songs I've heard from them in a while.

Anyone seen C***sucker Blues? I downloaded it ages ago and have yet to watch. A glowing report from someone here would no doubt inspire me to sit down and watch it

It's probably still illegal to show it, unless it was lifted there has been a long standing court order prohibiting it from sale or broadcast. The band themselves certainly want nothing to do with it as I understand it, it was shot during that very dark period in the band's history (late 60's/early 70's) and it's pretty much gone underground, I'd probably watch it out of morbid curiosity given the chance, but there are many other fine Stones concert/tour movies and documentaries.

I am jealous. As a matter of interest, what are you paying? I was so keen to see this show but then I discovered I'd have to sell my 3 kids into slavery, and porn all my wife's jewellery, just to get a ticket in the nosebleed seats.
