Here I thought I might be overdoing it...
Here's more!
A definite Top 5 of 1970 and my absolute favorite Deep Purple album.
A band that would influence "Extreme Music" for several years to come. This is my personal favorite by them.
This record is criminally underrated. It's as if Black Sabbath decided to start playing Hardcore Punk.
I don't really think an introduction is needed for this album. CLASSIC.
My favorite album by my favorite hardcore/punk band.
Nasty, dirty, sludgy punk from the early 80's. There is a Fang discussion in the "punk" section of this forum.
Awesome fuzzed out psych blues from 1970. Great album.
Groundbreaking heaviness.
Classic speed/thrash metal.
Fantastic psych/prog/fuzz/noise from 1969. Fantastic album.
This album is ALWAYS in rotation. If you haven't checked this record out, do yourself a favor!
Great thrash/death from Canada - 1988
I like all the early Ramones stuff, but this live album is just loaded with energy.
Amazing. Overlooked. Search it on youtube if you haven't heard it.
This album is very under rated. It's my favorite Slayer. Yes, I like it more than Reign In Blood.
Yes. I really like the 60's garagey, proto-punk stuff, as well.
Classic Irish punk album from 1979. I like this way more than their later material, which seems to get all the attention.
Great UK Hardcore/punk from the mid 90's.
I really can't stand anything else this band did, but this album was pretty awesome in 1994, since there weren't too many bands at the time playing their brand of political, spikey haired, hardcore punk.
One of my favorite early L.A. hardcore/punk records.
Typically unheard of thrash metal from 1989. This record is raw, fast and everything you might expect from a band called "Torture." If you're in any way into Slayer's "Hell Awaits," give this album a listen!
Of course I love the "Schenker UFO line up," but something about this record keeps me coming back for more!
Classic, hard as nails Garagey Punk from Minnesota in the late 70's
Classic hardcore Punk!!!
Last but not least... what I refer to as "the best album of 1969."
