Re: The Official George Harrison Thread

Not anywhere near as well as George. I tend to be more of a rhythm guitarist myself.

I can play something that might resemble the lead part though :p

Yeah I'm pretty good at rhythm, and can do decent at lead. I'm no Hendrix though.

As for The Beatles era, I like his songs but not the Eastern religion-type songs. Solo era, pretty much the same thing. Didnt really like his 80's stuff like "Got my mind set on you".

I like the "Eastern" stuff, but he really doesn't dabble in it all that much as a solo artist....well at least not as much as he did in The Beatles.

I liked his more rockier stuff! Faster is still a cool track from his self titled album. You can hear where Jeff Lynne (ELO) was influenced by not only the Beatles but by George as well.

Faster

Aaahhh...my favorite Beatle. Always remember him for his acerbic wit and thought provoking lyrics. Here's to wherever he may be now in spirit.

Always liked how he'd work with other musicians,Whether it be the Beatles,The Wilburys,Liked most of the tunes he put out during his solo times,For some reason I didn't like the single Cracker Box Palace,Just never did:dunno:

Hey DAKILLERWOLF,check out the Cloud Nine cd and you will see George at his best. He also has a live cd with Eric Clapton's band behind him. Great stuff. I think that if George was given a little more room on the Beatles cds he would have shinned a little earlier. Look at Revolver ...3 songs and all good.

keep those model subway trains running - watch the closing doors :omg:
