Hello everybody, i recently saw a post about the greatest albums of the 70's, so i thought we should start one for the 60's. So, what are your favorite albums of the 60's?
I'll limit my list to 10 and i won't repeat any artists:
1.)Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band- The Beatles
2.)At Folsom Prison- Johnny Cash
3.)Led Zeppelin II- Led Zeppelin
4.)Blonde on Blonde- Bob Dylan
5.)Are You Experienced?- The Jimi Hendrix Experience
6.)Bookends- Simon and Garfunkel
7.)Odyssey and Oracle- The Zombies
8.)Pet Sounds- The Beach Boys
9.)Beggar's Banquet- The Rolling Stones
10.)Piper At The Gates of Dawn- Pink Floyd

My Top Ten 60s LPs are:

1. The Beatles (The White Album) - The Beatles
2. Pieces, Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones, Ltd. - The Monkees
3. Aftermath - The Rolling Stones
4. Again - Buffalo Springfield
5. Strange Days - The Doors
6. A Salty Dog - Procol Harum
7. Dusty In Memphis - Dusty Springfield
8. There Are But Four Small Faces - Small Faces
9. Crosby, Stills and Nash - Crosby, Stills and Nash
10. Battle Of The Bands - The Turtles

I went with the rock/pop/metal rule. Including soul music would have made this a different list.

It was really hard to narrow it down to 10, ranking those ten were even harder. I didn't get to put down any albums by the Doors, The Byrds, The Monkees, Smile, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, etc. Sgt. Peppers isn't even my real favorite Beatles album, it's too hard to pick just one by my favorite band haha.
