He’s currently touring with Tremonti rather than Van Halen, but that doesn’t mean life on the road has gotten any less interesting for Wolfgang Van Halen.

On Tuesday (Oct. 16), Wolfgang journeyed into the lobby of the Birmingham, England hotel where he and Tremonti members Eric Friedman and Garrett Whitlock were staying after their Monday show in Newcastle, and the three of them ran into the boy band One Direction. The encounter did not go well.

“Fun fact: Was just insulted by that s—-y boy band #OneDirection in the lobby of our hotel this morning! Greetings Birmingham!” Wolfgang tweeted to his followers.

“No joke. That ACTUALLY happened,” he continued, adding that “That group of kids in #OneDirection were dickheads” to him, Friedman, and Whitlock.

No one’s saying what happened yet, but Whitlock blew off the incident, tweeting that he “had a run in with some boy band in the hotel lobby” and adding, “No worries. I can’t take a insult from someone who doesn’t even write there [sic] own tunes.”

Concluded Van Halen, “They must call themselves that because all of their hair points in #OneDirection.”

I wonder if they'd try a stunt like that with Lemmy and the boys...

I think not they'd wake up in the hospital with various cuts and bruises.:heheh:

What is it with youth of today, what has happened to common decency and respect.

They were X Factor UK contestants two years ago. Awful, manufactured pop pap and the arrogance is no surprise. Look forward to reading the inevitable story in ten years time about Simon Cowell taking all of the royalties then dropping them as soon as they were 21.

This is something I've been thinking about for a long time, and despite my best efforts, I just can't figure it out...What the **** is a One Direction?

All I can find is white noise.

There's nothing I find more pathetic than celebs bringing petty feuds to twitter. But since Wolfie is still a child I'll give him a pass, just this once.

Okay thanks for the info Coltrane2, I've never watched any of those shows, including Idol. Indeed Boy Bands are simply manufactured product aimed at teenyboppers, they have a limited shelf life and then are replaced by a newer younger "cuter" boy band.:heheh:

They would be well advised to never show that kind of attitude if they are around some of the really Serious metal bands, those guys wouldn't think twice about kickin' some butts.:box:
