I'll be picking it up in the next few days. I do wonder how the Muse diehards will feel about it though since a lot of them didn't care for the last one.

I'm expecting to like it the least out of all their albums, but I will reserve judgement until I've heard all the tracks and had a chance to play it for a few weeks

Survival isn't my favorite, but it's really great! And I love the transition from prelude.

I have seen films about Joe Meek, but I am not sure which ones. I think he is a fascinating character. The intro to Uprising definitely borrows from Dr Who.

Well, it's kind of just as I expected, a few tracks that I'm really not that fussed about - whether they'll be growers or not time will tell - a few that I like well enough and a few that I think are great! One pleasant surprise, was Liquid State, the second track with Chris on vocals, at first I thought, what the... who's changed the disc and put Pendulum on, even had to go and check 
, but yeah quite a different sound for Muse and I like it.
The opening track, Supremacy, is so far my favourite song off the whole album, here's Muse performing it live on Later... with Jools Holland:

I feel the same Tray, but the tracks I loved, I really LOVED. The singles are starting to grow on me too. This album has a little bit of everything, including touches of dub step which I found different. I too liked Liquid State, also Isolated System surprisingly. The next single for this album will be Panic Station.
But... the best song on the entire album has got to be Animals. This was not only the best from this album in my opinion, but I could see it EASILY becoming one of my favorite Muse songs period! AMAZING!!!!!
I will be listening to the album a lot more to form a more solid opinion on it. Overall, I really like it so far.

I agree - Animals is AMAZING - I love it!!!! Also, at first, I didn't really like Follow Me but it's growing on me fast - just like Madness... it's actually a very well written song beyond the dubsteppy/electronic elements! (and it tends to get stuck in my head lol)
