Choose a " special" song to you .It doesnt have to be your favourite.....just a tune that reminds you of an occasion, happy times etc

Im going for "surrender" by STRYPER because 27 years ago today ...this tune was well into my head......on the day my son Jason was born. :) Happy Birthday Jason !!!

Vividly, I was drunk and she was "robotripping" (abusing a drug called DXM, it's in robotussin so people called it robotripping). I was 18 and had built it up in my mind so much, when it actually happened it was the best day of my life at that time, it was great. I was in college and my freshman roomate in the dorms had been thrown out for never going to class (his single mom paid for his school) and I had the room to myself the whole semester. And the dorm was coed, the floors were coed.

We were very close (I thought) until we lost touch for several years, only to find each other later on facebook. She is now married and has two little kids. Every time I here any Sly or anything siimilar it always makes me smile and remember that time.

I was working in a bar in London 3 years ago and this song always reminds me of that time. Kind of bittersweet because I was a wee bit homesick at the time.

Fleetwood Mac "Showbiz Blues"

I bought the album on a whim at the same time I passed my driving test and bought a Red Bedford HA van. I taped the album and played it over and over as I trundled along.

Good for getting to gigs, didn't always get back though. :uh:

This reminds me back when my friends and I lived together. Every day was a blast. The landlord ended up kicking us out so his sister and her daughter could live there :uh:

This particular live version always reminds me of freshman/sophmore year of highschool where we all used to go to these concerts the church would have on Friday night. A lot of Pearl Jam-y kind of bands there and I spent a lot of nights walking home afterward with this disc in my walkman. This album (Live on Two Legs) was actually the first record by a 90s band that I ever bought!

The turbulent, kind of chaotic and uneasy but also undeniably hopeful, positive atmosphere on this track REALLY sums up that period for me. One of the better periods in my youth, I'd say.

Man, that's good you can see the positive, there are some songs like that I can't listen too anymore, it's too emotional
