the only album of theirs i love is third stage. to me its more grown up and not full of cliches which the first two had some of.
the production on this lp sounds much better too imo.
i do like some songs from the earlier two though.
personally what i want in a boston album is lots, and lots, of guitar.

Actually Brad might be on the new album considering it takes Boston 8 years to record an album!

In the 'sweating over every crotchet 'stakes they make Def Leppard look positively prolific. Mind you, doesn't alter the fact that Third Stage, released 26 years ago, was the last worthwhile release and that Don't Look Back, their last truly classic release, is 34 years old . Oh and the lead singer who is synonymous with their sound is dead. Can't say I'm too hopeful or excited.

Boston without Brad Delp or Fran Cosmo on vocals is something I will not support. I just think that since Brad committed suicide that Tom Scholz should have gotten Fran to do the vocals on this upcoming album.

Its true that Brad Delp will be singing on 2 new songs plus there is 2 songs from Corporate America that have been completely re-recorded and will be on this New Album ("You Gave Up on Love" and "Someone").I have seen all the Boston Tours since "77, if anyone heard Boston on their latest tour (summer of 2012) they know Boston has never sounded better LIVE, another huge accomplishment for T.S. . I'm positive everybody will be surprised how good this New Boston Album sounds. I have a feeling it may be the last Album from Boston, knowing T.S. , he saved the best for last!

I don't think this Boston release will be as good as the debut or second record.

I gave up on this band years ago, Tom Scholz seems more interested in pursuing legal action against everyone in the Milky Way Galaxy for any small grievance than making music.
