Re: Europe

BUMP in a big way!!

You all GOT to listen to their latest album Bag Of Bones. As some of you may know the last few years they released outstanding albums. Bag of bones is not different quality wise. Drenched in bluesrock they make excellent (melodic) hardrock.

I was thinking about a poll between the latest releases of Van Halen, Chickenfoot and Europe. For me Europe will win this poll easily!!

Just take the time to listen to this very good album:

Re: Europe

It's a brilliant and very underrated band. I love absolutely all of their albums! 2_sm16.gif

Demon Head is a pretty good tune. Firebox was ok, but not as good as DH. Might have to check out more on this album.

Yeah the new tunes sound pretty cool. I liked the sitar effect in Firebox.

It's cool to hear their obvious 70's influences a bit stronger. But I really like that old stuff TBH!!

But, yup, I can hear the Purple, Whitesnake, Heep influences quite strong in these tracks.

The odd tracks I've caught on Radio of their recent gear have been great! I think people quickly write them off as they think of super commercial & cheesy early tracks they did like The Final Countdown. They need to give their latest offerings a listen for sure :grinthumb

I like there 1st album which was a real denim & leather album believe it or not before these bunch of t*****s changed there image from denim jackets and bullet belts and wearing there hair long and shaggy to wearing BIG HAIR and smelling of perfume!!.

There 1st album is super rare (released on Epic i believe?) featuring some heavy numbers and very hard to find, the last time that i saw it on cd was about 12-15 years ago in HMV Oxford street in London.

Wrote them off when the 'big hair' bubble burst, back in the day.
......but now have their latest work, and I like it a lot.
Going to see them in Cardiff in November. :grinthumb

They are great, there's nothing to argue about. But their songs are heard so many times everywhere - from city-radio (I mean kind of radio that works by morning in the streets) to the tv commercials. I'm pretty fed up of it.
