At the time, I was disappointed by Boston's second album, but it's one of my favourites now. Brad Delp is one of my favourite singers. He could sing the telephone directory and make it sound good.

Megadeth Risk album was another I used to really hate but it grew a lot on me, I love most of the album now. Even Mustaine hates the album lol. I don't though nor do I hate Cold Lake when everyone else does.

Nightwish Dark Passion Play took me quite some time to get into but again Anette is not that bad a vocalist. Does she suit the music in this album? I don't bloody care, I love this album now.

I'd say another was Nirvana's In Utero, but Nevermind is really hard to follow now isn't it? :)
I used to hate In Utero too but sorta liked Nevermind. Now I enjoy listening to both equally :grinthumb

This is pretty hard for me...I dunno. Music I like I liked right away and the SMALL amount that I didn't I still don't.

Here's an album from the 70's though that I like a WHOLE LOT more now than I did back then when it was released. :grinthumb

I gotta lump Metallica Load into here. Over quite a few listens as an album I find it hard to get through that much material but pick the songs individually and I do like them. The album is not bad, just it sucks to listen to right through without other songs in between....for me anyway. Reload is the same although that one I can listen through because the songs are better and heavier on that one. Only song I still dislike on Load is Hero of the Day and same with The Memory Remains.

First time I heard it I thought all the songs sounded the same and nothing popped out except Smells Like Teen Spirit. I also hated the fact that 80s music had died and this crappy grunge was replacing it.

Over the years, I've learned to really appreciate the record and especially the songwriting. It was easily the best thing to come out of the 90s and although I still hate grunge, I do like this album.

I used to live with a guy in the 90's who played this album a lot, I never liked it back then at all, but now I think it's great :)

A couple years ago CP/M got me to revisit this old Dire Straits recording, "Communique". I loved the debut but this one seemed so bland by comparison I played it two or three times then basically forgot about it for over 20 years.

CP/M was waxing poetic about what a strong album it was so I played it again. I gained a new appreciation for Communique, and while it can't supplant the debut or Making Movies as my two favorite DS records, it's a solid 3rd place now.

The back end of Death Magnetic excluding Suicide & Redemption. Unforgiven III, My Apocalypse particularly. The latter being I love that 1980s style Exodus riff of Kirk's in the middle of the song. Unforgiven III is still for me the worst of the 3 but its alright now, The Day That Never Comes while I still think its a blatant rip off of One its not horrible whilst not being awesome.
