August 23 2012...Mark David Chapman DENIED parole after New York parole board denied him of his release for 7th time ,since the December 8 1980 murder of John Lennon .

Some may say he deserves to be let out
some say he deserves to rot in hell..

I'm on the side that he's mentally unstable
is willing do and say whatever he can to get out of prison
if he's sorry..if he has found god..good let him make his peace..in jail.

The safety of Johns family ,friends and society ..depends on Chapman remaining in custody imo.

John Lennon is one of my heros but that is NOT why I feel this way..I feel that MDC used Lennons fame and easy access to him as a way to bring fame to himself. He did not want to die a nobody.He was bitter and angry at his own personal failures.

This was not the act of a one time crazed fan..but of someone who decided to make a name himself..admitting all of this himself..used the reason of John's liberal views and wealth as a manifestation of his anger...

he and all the other countless maniacs who use henious senseless crimes to become famous...need to be taught..we will not acccept this way to fame.

he got what he wanted..now let him pay for his choices.

Good news. He was all grown up when he did that. Let him rot in jail at least as a deterrant to others.

I've got him in the same category as Manson, they shouldn't even come up for parole.

Our society is partly to blame, whenever anything happens now the news media is so overboard they end up giving people like Chapman their moment of fame, no matter how fleeting.

I don't see that changing anytime soon either.

I don't think he'll ever be granted parole. He is clearly mentally unstable, and I don't agree with how others seem to act as if, like Astrid mentioned other that people think, he deserves to rot in hell particularly because of who his victim was. He's just as loathsome as any other murderer in my opinion.
