This is a folk musical project founded in 2004 by Simon Emmerson of the Afro Celt Sound System.

I came accross this bunch of musicians and thought they were pretty good, they have been likened to such greats as Pentangle.

I dug the version of Cum On Feel The Noize...iall honesty it had a celtic melody to begin with.

Headed up by Chris Wood, an amazing artist well worth checking out.

One of the female vocalists Eliza Carthy has some good stuff too.

On occasson, they can be very folky with fiddles and banjos so yo need to do your homework to get the more contemporary stuff.

2 great IM albums but the first would be my fav by far...

Try Chris Wood's Handmade Life and/or Trespasser, really excellent albums.

Another good folk band around at the moment are Show of Hands. Their Arrogance, Ignorance and Greed is worth a listen too.

I'm listening to that cover of "Cum On Feel The Noize" and thinking "There is absolutely no way that is the same song....." but....it totally is! It's fascinating.
