Not sure if these guys started in the 90's, but I think so. Saw them several years ago, opening up for Pantera. I don't think I liked them muchat the time, but I found(downloaded) a song they did, "Jesus on the Dash Board," and I really began to like them. It's a very different kinda song. Another song they do, "Red Horse Rainbow," is pretty cool too. Let me know if there are any Clutch fans out there. :)

I have heard of them, but not familiar with their music, though the Jesus on the Dashboard rings a bell

Oh yea Will, love them. They are a great band. Do they have a newer album out yet? Not sure what the songs I like are called. I haven't heard them for a few months. I will find them again. ;)

Shaggy, not sure if they have any new stuff out. The songs I have, I "stole" off the internet. But, what I have heard of their stuff, I really like 'em. Glad SOMEBODY knew who they were, thanks!

I was passing by as this band played on my way to the prog stage last year and the music made me turn to check them out. Then Yesterday Tray bought me "From Beale Street To Oblivion" and I gotta say I like It.

Really like it.:grinthumb

clutch is a good stoner rock band sometimes heavy psych or hard rock but they're good, i saw them a while ago in my town and often reminded me black label society, musically structures and vocation have the same tune that bls(in my opinion), but the only album that I liked a bit was jam room..

cheers,Jordan

Clutch is probably one of the most criminally underrated bands out there. Their last disc 'Strange Cousins From The West' is a truly great blues rock album but Neil Fallon is far too philosophical with his lyrical approach to embrace any of the tropes of the style. You won't find Robert Plant-esque 'WOOoooooaaahh Baby's on any of their discs. Instead you either get poignant introspection into the fundamental challenges we all face when trying to make heads or tails of the society we don't have much choice but to exist within; or you end up with a scathing commentary on said society.

Either way they rock far harder than the average and are well deserving of any attention.

I really like Spacegrass and Escape From The Prison Planet, but the singer's voice/vocal style grates on me after awhile.
