END OF THE WORLD COMES IN OCTOBER:
The release date for Rick Springfield's new record Love Songs For The End Of The World has been set by management for Oct. 9. The first single is still set to be I Hate Myself.

It's a little odd that there has been virtually no press yet, a mere two months before the album's release. Generally means that the release date was fanciful and will be pushed back, but I hope I'm wrong.

Nice to know he's still around but I'll pass on his new record, I don't think I have one Rick Springfield song in my library, not even "Jesse's Girl"...:peek

I didn't know much about him before he moved to the US and went into acting along with his music career. Was Zoot a hard rock or pop band?

Puttin' On The Dog is a pretty strong rock/pop album. If anyone was going to buy just one, that would be it.

However his very early work was more orchestrated and melodramatic.

Liked Working Class Dog, good fun pop rock. Have never heard his earlier stuff but would be interested to hear it so will search it when I have time.

Always had a good voice I thought so I'll check out the new one as well

Living In Oz is a strong record. I like a lot of his stuff. It worked out for me as the chicks liked him too.
