I agree with Soots on how maybe the lengthy piece of 2112 would have been a more fitting album closer.

Yeah it could have worked that way no doubt. I could handle Passage To Bangkok being the opener and the last song taking us into Sci Fi Mode.

Just been watching video of early Rush with the original drummer... kinda weird to find Geddy totally looks like...

What a good disc Permanent Waves is. :grinthumb
The closing track Natural Science is my favourite track. Funny how its the most lengthy ones on the album I love the most.

There have been some great live versions of this on their DVD releases!! I agree, it's an epic cut!!

Natural Science is one of my favorite Rush songs. Great musical dynamics. Really cool lyrics. Super musicianship. I think they should make it a "permanent" fixture in their live shows from here on out.

One thing that I've noticed in my visits to the local used record/CD shops is Rush albums are very hard to find. They are highly sought after and if they do show up are gobbled up right away.

I might end up ordering a couple from Soundstage, they might cost a bit but if I could get Moving Pictures and a couple others in 180 gram vinyl I would spend the brass.:D
