Hi All,

Is there a good late 60's or early 70's live album from Bo Diddley?

Actually what I really want is a CD that corresponds to the performance seen in the Mazda commercial.

Thanks,
Mike

The clip from the Mazda commercial is from a DVD called "The London Rock and Roll Show," (circa 1971); Wembly arena, professionally filmed (check Wiki).

There's also the "John Lennon & the Plastic Ono Band" Live from Toronto, 1969.

Both are offered for sale via a few online retailers/aggregators, the most reputable being MVD video and Amazon.:****:

Thanks.

Too bad he only has three songs.

It would be great to hear earlier recordings of "Ooh Baby". That song has been stuck in my brain for weeks.

Is that "Super Super Blues Band" CD from 2002 worth listening to?

Mixed reviews on the "Super Blues" CD. If you can pick it up for cheap on eBay, it's worth it.

Have you heard "A Man Amongst Men" nominated for Best Contemporary Blues Album in 1997. Features Billy Boy Arnold, Keith Richards, Ron Wood, Johnnie Johnson, Richie Sambora, etc. Was Bo's last studio release. Excellent!

I know you said 'circa', but to set it straight, the LR&R Show was in August 1972. Dearest tickets were £2.50 (or £2-10-0),,,, but they wern't in front of the stage,,,, which were cheaper.

This was the only time I saw the American greats - and cherish the memory.

I have DVD; 033107910793. Its good - but not great. Can anyone recommend a couple of better ones please ?

I don't know the advert mentioned. My DVD contains Road Runner + Bring it to Jerome + Mona. I also have an original vinyl LP, the title of which escapes me.

Good luck Mike.
