Diorama I tried a couple of times and just struggled through it. Sorry.
I am a bit picky. lol
I will say I agree that one was different but I still couldn't get into it, again just me and my pickiness with certain bands.

It's not a crime to have preference. I do like the Frogstomp material. They sounded like a bunch of hungry kids wanting to rock. Freakshow as a follow was so mundane though I can see why they wanted to change in try different avenues. Diorama was actually a tough period for the lead singer as he took ill pretty bad and the emotion came through so much on Diorama and you could tell it was a record he paid attention to every note on rather than just rocking out. :cheers2

I like Frogstomp but haven't heard anything else that I liked. I used to own neon ballroom but have no idea where it is now. I might have accidentally used it for a shotgun target.

The ballady nature of Suicidal Dreams is the kind of stuff I enjoy. Its a nice blend of the rock I like and the more melodic side. While I'm at it cranking this album gives me a bit of Nostalgia.

Great band, but sadly they grew out of the rocking stuff they did in the early days.

Saw them in 2007, was so pleased to get a ticket. Really enjoyed the show, but they didn't play enough older material.

As bootlegs go, Rock in Rio 2001 soundboard CD is absolutely full on.

Frogstomp is such a great album. Suicidal Dream is probably my favorite Silverchair song. I know it word for word, lol. There were some good songs on Freak Show too, like Cemetery. I have no idea why this band ever changed.

I loved Freak Show a lot as a kid. The Door, Slave, Freak, Nobody Came, Cemetery were the songs I loved and still do actually.
