Ever give an album a quick listen, only to put it "on the shelf" for a while. Then you decide to have another listen and realize..."WHOA, THIS IS A GREAT ALBUM!" ? One particular collection for me was...

Seventh Star (A solo album!)

There are a lot of albums from the late 60's and 70's I haven't given a listen to in a very long time......some I am just listening to for the first time.

Todd Rundgren's Something/Anything is a sweet album. I just gave it a spin a couple days ago.....

I Saw the Light

That happened to me with Stone Roses album. At first it was nothing special ... then I listened to it a few more times and it is one of my 3 favourite albums ever!

Pink Floyd "The Wall"

I went from hate to love, now it's my favorite album of all time!!

I didn't hate the album, but I only listened to a couple of songs. Then I started hearing more cuts being played on the radio and gave the album another listen. Now it is one of my favorites as well.

Plenty of stuff like If You Want Blood the live album. Went years without listening to it a 4th or 5th time, was not a big live album fanatic until recently.

The Led Zeppelin album that got me hooked the second time was probably Houses of the Holy, an album I never really thought much of the first time but the second time I understood more of it and realised for an experimental album its actually pretty damn good.

Mastodon Remission - Listened to it twice and couldn't get into it, left it on the shelf for several months before giving it another listen, whatever I was not hearing that I could get into the first time I do now, love that album as well.

Judas Priest Nostradamus the famous concept album they did was definitely something that took me some getting used to. Went months if not a year without giving it another shot, now I still say its not the best work but its decent.

Exile on Main St by the Rolling Stones...I thought it was way too long for a while, and gave it a pass. Now I think it's THE essential rock 'n roll album.

From recently...

Tori Amos Night Of Hunters

When I played it through first time it just didn't do anything for me and I didn't give it another spin until weeks later. The more I played it the more I grew to appreciate different aspects of it. It's certainly been one of those 'growers' and I now play it a lot.
