I went with Rocks. It is one of those records I could listen to all the way through & still want more (kind of like going to a concert & you're into it so much that time flies by & you keep wanting the band to keep going). That's not to take anything away from the other albums because I love them all. Aerosmith was an important part of the late 70's growing up as a teen & were always in my top favorite bands back then.
I remember sending away for a "Rare Live Recordings" catalog back then & I felt like I discovered gold so I ordered a Kiss album...I then found out what a bootleg was & even though it was not the quality I expected I was intrigued by it. I read about an upcoming official release titled 'Live Bootleg' By Aerosmith & the article explained what a bootleg album really was & that the bands weren't making money off them.
I was so psyched for this release & it was everything plus more I expected (I Ain't Got You, Mother Popcorn, Chip Away at the Stone, firecrackers, & Tyler singing "Mother F***er" during their ballad Dream On). Wow, I was even more of an Aero Smith fan after that release.
I also have to mention how much I love Night in the Ruts. No Surprise says it all( what a great tune). I loved the T-shirt from that tour where the front said Night in the Ruts & the back (like the cover) said Right in the Nuts.
