Just a thought:I don't think you can call blues, jazz or country sub-genres of rock music. They existed before rock and roll. You'd be more inclined to say blues rock, fusion or country rock.

Rock&Roll was his biggest threat, so of course he hated it. Sinatra is one of the very few of his style that survived after the explosion of rock music.

Yet he wanted to do a rendition of Chicago's Colour My World. I read that he called Jimmy Pankow and ask him to write another verse so he could record it and Pankow said no, it would take away from the song. Even though Colour My World isn't rock 'n' roll, old Frank was listening to radio stations that played Chicago.
I like so many this is a tough question to answer...
