I had a chance to get Coldplay tickets for an upcoming show this year, they're coming to Seattle, but i'm not going to be here when they're here. If they come here again, it'd definitely be a show i'd want to see.

Further to my discovery of Don't Panic I got their Parachutes album today for 10 bucks, I've only just listened to the first 4 tracks, but I enjoy them. I guess their a little bit like Icehouse if I could compare them to another band.

Have only heard the Parachutes album. Man this band takes a lot of heat. Most people either like em' or hate em'. I thought Parachutes was good album

Same, apart from Don't Panic which I used to hear in part of a TV promo for our Local TV network, I only know the song "Yellow". But the rest of the album is not all that bad.

I've since heard some other Coldplay songs from other albums (unfortunately I don't have any names), though those songs were fine as well, though I heard a song from one of their recent albums and it sounded a bit different for Coldplay. It's hard to fathom that Parachute is over a decade old now though - things are bound to change. You only have to compare music from bands like The Beatles and how it progressed between 1962 and 1970. :)

But Coldplay to me, I probably didn't really take all that much notice to their music because it was much hyped about. Sometimes it can be a curse to be hyped about too much.
