Live at Leeds is indeed a great live album, but it's not my favorite. My top 5 would have to be..

1.Strangers in the Night - UFO
2.Road Cases - Foghat
3.Rock Of Ages - The Band
4.Before The Flood- Bob Dylan
5.Wings Over America - Wings

At least that would be my top 5 for now, there's so many great live albums it's hard to pick a fave.

I usually like expanded versions of old live albums. I love the four disc reissue of "The Last Waltz" and the two disc reissue of The Band's "Rock of Ages". On that one they added the Dylan tracks left off the original version. While we're at it, I also like the two disc "Live at Budokan - The Complete Concert" by Cheap Trick.

I realize that when a lot of the live albums I like came out [70's] there were massive time constraints due to them being released on vinyl, but gigs should be released in their entierity. Audiophiles aside, I can't see how the original 8 track or whatever it was version of Cheap Trick's Live at Budokan could ever be better than the 2cd version that came out a few years back with the whole concert on it.

Same with the Who's live at leeds.

I made a post on another thread that was meant to be here. Lol.

I don't really know which are my favourite live albums. I really like:

- The Allman Brothers Band - Live At The Fillmore
- Green Day - Bullet In A Bible
- Lou Reed - Rock 'N' Roll Animal
- The Who - Live At Leeds

I have to think of some more, though
