Vince Lovegrove, Australian Music Pioneer, Dies In Car Accident | News | Music News | Noise11

Australian music pioneer Vince Lovegrove has lost his life in a car accident near Byron Bay in New South Wales on Saturday.

Vince was born in 1948 in Fremantle, Western Australian. In the 1960’s he formed The Valentines and shared vocals with Bon Scott. Vince stayed one of Bon’s closest friends until Bon’s death in 1980.

Damn that sucks.

Don't know much about him but I have heard about Cold Chisel before and didn't know he was close with Bon Scott.

I found this out by my sister on FB who found this on Chrissy Amphlett (Divinyls) facebook fan page. It is a big loss.

I saw this on the news ticker this morning. The only thing I knew about Vince was his writing he did for Michael Hutchence, the now deceased lead singer for INXS.
