I've just been on the phone to Rolling Stone guys. It's just that I haven't heard the latest Katy Perry album yet, and I felt the world really should know just what I'm not listening to.

Once the hype from that dies down, I might go and follow it up with my lack of experience with Justin Beiber's latest masterpiece....

Totally hilarious Feldster!!! Post of the month!!

I'm really trying to like the new VH album, but the more infantile self-publicising BS I see/read about this 'VH vs Hagar' thing, I can't think of a single band on earth more boring right now....it's getting like a bitchy episode of Jerry Springer but without them all tearing off their shirts and baring their manly chests as they square up to each other. I know there's a thing on here where you can block annoying posters and put them on your 'ignore list' - I'm probably on a few myself!!:uh: - but I so wish there was something similar - maybe some kind of filter - where I could also block from view any thread or post that contains the words 'Van' 'Halen' 'Sammy' or 'Hagar'

Who gives a shit?

Yeah it's starting to get that way right about now.

I'm at least glad that there was a song that Sammy said he liked, and that he said he couldn't compete with them. I like both eras of Van Halen, I really do. I like the Roth years better, but that's just the music end for me.

It never made me dislike the Hagar years at all. I'll spin 5150 with a smile on my face, but Sammy please...let it go now.

Just keep rockin'...it'll all be ok...HONEST!

It's great to see Hagar squirming his way through interview after interview promoting Van Halen, and not only that, he's admitted that a Van Halen show in the same City on the same day will result in Ronald McDonald playing to the sound engineer and dude who picks up the beer cups after the show.

I bet Hagar couldn't even fill a guestlist with Van Halen in town!

Tattoo is incredibly average and honestly, I can't believe they chose that particular song to be their first single off of this album. It's not "bad", but it's FAR from good.

It was certainly a risk putting that out first, and who knows, maybe some turned off after hearing that and have ignored the album completely. But it's still done excellent business, and it'll do even better when they take the show round the rest of the world...
