Robbie joined Diamond Head during the Canterbury album and later went on to play drums with UFO and other bands.

I happened to find Robbie's blog awhile ago. It wasn't very active but has a few interesting things on it.

Drummer Robbie France Passes Away

Robbie France, who played with both UFO and Diamond Head, died on Saturday, January 14.

In a lengthy career, drummer France played on Diamond Head’s 1983 album Canterbury and spent a year with UFO from 1984. France was also a member of Wishbone Ash, recording the 1991 album Strange Affair. He was a founder-member of Skunk Anansie, playing on their 1995 debut album Paranoid And Sunburnt.

Last year, France (who was also a respected drum tutor) had first novel published. This was called Six Degrees South.

This solo is from the Diamond Head Canterbury Tour 1984, recorded at Leicester. I have the official VHS tape of this show ...

In keeping with the theme the last few years...didn't know about his UFO stint or playing on that Wishbone Ash album either.

RIP Robbie France.
