Yup! As soon as I get the money back I'm ordering the item from Amazon. :grinthumb

Completed 20+ transactions on ebay myself with only one problem and it was only a $5 CD so I didn't bother complaining or giving the seller negative reputation just counted it up as one bad experience.

I have purchased things on e-bay you simply cannot find anywhere else, over $400.00 for one item in particular and everything I have ever ordered has arrived intact through the USPS who seem to get a lot of grief from what I've read.

I wouldn't give up on e-bay just because of one bad experience Jen, there are a lot of great sellers on there that provide very good service.

I've bought stuff from Amazon as well, never had a problem with them either.

A couple of friends are just back after holidaying in the US. They brought me back a couple of pairs of jeans and a couple of tops which cost SO much less than we pay here. I really will have to start buying all my clothes online from now on. The prices the big department stores charge here are so high - we are being ripped off big time :(

We pay a lot more for things up here too Sunny. Gas is much higher here than where I came from and shipping is ridiculous.

The thing is, in Australia there isn't a large population so the two main big department stores have a monopoly same with supermarkets - there isn't enough competition to keep the prices down. We are luckier in the cities compared with folks who live in outback towns because everything has to be trucked out and so prices are even higher than us city slickers pay.

We have places here in town that ship out to the villages and some towns here in Alaska pay $6+ for a gallon of milk. It's ridiculous.

Thank goodness the pay is better up here to sort of even that out.
