Kick Out the Jams is a GREAT song, but I see it like this:

1. The original Summertime Blues by Eddie Cochran
2. Summertime Blues as covered by The Who on Live at Leeds
3. Kick Out the Jams

Never heard the version of Summertime Blues that you posted...

Blue Cheer for me, I love that entire album.

Not that it matters, but MC5 had a lot more political interest in where their tunes were headed, versus Blue Cheer, who were the epitome of acid drenched sludge rock.

Anybody who claims to like contemporary "stoner rock" owe a tip of the hat to these guys (IMHO). :cheers2

Blue Cheer - Summertime Blues is classic!

I like The Presidents Of The United States version of ''Kick Out The Jams'' better than the original, even though they changed the words and made it a party anthem back in the 90's.

:cheers2
