Another great band that's come out with a new album :grinthumb:

Running From A Gamble

Death of Communication
(a great rocker and they haven't lost a beat musically or lyrically, I believe this is the single)

Honestly my honesty
Was always what I gave for taking your bread
I never thought you would have hung it high above
As you did over my head

ever since you came into my life
I always felt a little misled
I tried to read the signs
Tried to stay in the lines
But (the) shapes were always changing

Almost fooled me when you said just

Sell your soul for someone's gold
Maybe then you'll have a friend
Go on, sell your soul to be controlled
Maybe then you'll have a friend

Everything we'll ever need is deep inside of our limitless beings
We struggle and we fight cause it feels good
To wonder why our lives are happening

Almost fooled me when you said just

Sell your soul for someone's goal
Maybe then you'll have a friend
Go on, sell your soul to be controlled
Maybe then you'll have a friend

Hid in your history
Writ in your memory

oh you didn't know it's

Hid in your history
Writ in your memory
Say you don't know it

Sell your soul for someone's goal
Maybe then you'll have a friend
go on, sell your soul to be controlled
Maybe then you'll have a friend

In The death of
The death of
The death of communication

Nothings In The Flowers
(This is on the album and this live version is great)

In life, for some things we testify
In our love, for some things we magnify

Your boots are heavy with the undertow
In your hands, your violent piano

See the sun coming through
All the angles of all the wars we won
But we never let it go into the deepest truce of emotions
And on, and on, and on

Lost and found and nothing's in the flowers
Broken truths upon the empty houses
Lost and found and nothing's in the flowers
Broken truths

Your work is wicked with efficiency
For your play, you pirated emergency

See the sun coming through
All the angles of all the wars we won
But we never let it go into the deepest truce of emotions
And on, and on, and on

Lost and found and nothing's in the flowers
Broken truths upon the empty houses
Lost and found and nothing's in the flowers
Broken truths

Try a little!
Won't you take the first step
And give a little!
So that nothing will be left

Nothing's In The Flowers (Original)
(The song was originally an acoustic released on an EP)

Never Come Back
(Sexy as Hell, acoustic liver version of another song to be on the album)

Very cool stuff...I'm diggin' what I'm hearin' but didn't get through all the video samples yet. Again as I've said in the past with alot of today's female artists, she has that "Melanie" deal goin' on...but here it leans a bit more towards Edie Brickell...well actually ALOT IMO. :cheers2

I'm diggin' the "War Is Over" Lennon shirt. I take it a fan? :grinthumb

I haven't read if she's a fan but I can only assume as you have! Any good writer should be influenced by Lennon though, right? :grinthumb

Since I just got the new album and have revisited the debut in whole yesterday I'll post a new and old gem:

Look Both Ways/In Passing (Live)
(Look Both Ways album version on Running From A Gamble)

I love this closer off of debut album "Oridinary Riches"! Very powerful and one that I connected to quite a bit recently:

Heh, was expecting you to post about these guys if anyone. Saw them as the first opener for Jack's Mannequin, and their performance just blew me away (I enjoyed them nearly as much as JM). Met Geneviene after the show too (and got my ticket signed), she was really nice and seemed genuinely happy that I enjoyed their performance (people seemed to like Motion City Soundtrack, the second opener, more for some reason; I didn't care for MCS much at all). Got their new album there and Ordinary Riches off of eBay- great stuff.

Broken Up

Company of Thieves have broken up. Genivieve is working on a solo album.

I am pretty sad about this because this if my favorite band to come out in the last 5 years at least.
