This is where you share the live performances that move you the most.

This is just audio and it is amazing. Paul Rodgers is spot on in this performance with such emotion. He is not even 21 here and it is amazing you can feel so much in his voice. At 2:22 he really lets loose. The other musicians are feeding off of Rodgers this whole performance. I also love the various improv at the end of the song. In itself this is a powerful song but this live performance is just over the top. I have every Free CD and most of the boots that I know. This is the best performance by far of this beautiful song.

For You by Bruce Springsteen

This is just Bruce and his piano. He plays beautifully here and has so much emotion in his voice. I love Manfred Mann's version but they didn't know the true story behind the song. Hence, where the emotion is coming from. This is just amazing.

Double offering from my two favorite bands:

Heart
I have posted this clip a few times but I still can't believe how good Ann's voice is here. After hearing it the first time I thought it must have been a studio overdub, but no, it's live. For those that like Heart, they never had a better performance than whatever concert these clips were from..there are four of them if IIRC.

Straight on

Rush
Every Rush concert is good, but the Snakes & Arrows DVD is awesome to watch. Sure Geddy's voice is aging, has but the musicianship of this band never deteriorates as this clip of "Natural Science" demonstrates.

This is one of those 'so beautiful it makes me want to cry' performances.

The song is "Razor Love," which would be released on Neil's year 2000 lite-folk record Silver & Gold (incidentally my favorite lite-folk Neil record). But what we have here is the performance they frequently gave on the lucid 1997 tour with Crazy Horse, incidentally my all-time favorite Neil Young tour (and that is saying a bloody hell of a lot, I'm obsessed with Neil's live tours and there are so many incredible ones!)

Hearing such a powerful and genuine performance of this song with Crazy Horse.... I mean the performance is so honest that it's heartbreaking. Makes me think it's a shame Neil didn't record it like this for the album.

Rory always delivered the goods I believe he lived for his music, a true crowd pleaser.

My favorite concert of all time was from this '97 tour as well. Why is it your favorite too? And why do you refer to the tour as "lucid"?
