OK thats what I want to stress on home recording, like we have a problem we don't throw money at it we work around it w/ resourceful ideas just because someone might have the gear you think you will sound like a million but I don't think so, people need to understand music and write music as well as how to use the gear or software as a tool.Like A MUSICAL instument you practice try different things experiment. Make home recording fun and maybe even a craft.

I've only recorded my self a couple times and I did it with a basic mic next to my amp. It actually wasn't horrible quality, but deffinitly not studio quality. I would have to invest a little but I'm gonna have to wait til I get a job.

What are you recording into a tape or a PC? Move the mic around a little. I was reading where Jimmy Page said to move mics away from amps or drums to let the sound breath as he called it.

Found a web site that will help just about everyone.....
TweakHeadz Lab, a guide to the home project studio...or How to put together a less expensive Recording Studio that rivals Professional Studio Sound..
In this site he tells you about Audio, Buying gear, Writing songs Inspiration, MIDI Routing, you name it.Worth a look.

I would record them into my PC. If i really wanted to i could burn it to a CD, but its nothing that special :p
