JPJ. He's a key ingredient to the Zeppelin mixture. He is most certainly the most instument-savvy...he's a definite must.

I would say this about him, he's easily the most consistent, both in studio and on stage. From what I've heard from live Zep boots, you never really knew what you were going to get from the other three

Jimmy Page.

I've seen/heard Led Zeppelin songs done competently without either Plant or Bonham involved, but I've yet to see/hear this be accomplished without Page present.

you know, I almost went with the obvious (JP) but then at the last minute I realized the one who really set them apart from the pack was Robert Plant. Page's playing and songwriting basically started a new genre that still exists today but Plant sold the product to the masses and Led Zeppelin wouldve never been nearly as big without him. Also when they broke up, we had a much more sucessful career afterwards, not that it has anything to do with LZ but he was the biggest star of the group, and that is what the masses seem to go for then and now.

my favorite member? Probably JP.

first of whoever thinks the beatles were equal is retarded secondly page produced it and wrote so much . id say hes the most important and i think jp jones and plant are tied jones really made so much of the sustance plant is irreplaceable but all he did was sing even though he did bring a certain essence to the band

Individually? I dunno.

Regardless of the pecking order, Zep's sum was greater than its parts.
