Rock Candy
Rock 'n' Roll Doctor
A minor supergroup of sorts, Katmandü was formed in 1990 by frontman Dave King (Fastway, Floggy Molly) and guitarist Mandy Meyer (Cobra, Asia, Gotthard, Krokus), with bassist Caine Carruthers (The Untouchables) and drummer Mike Alonso (The Meanies) filling out the rhythm section. Only one album was delivered from these guys, a solid S/T effort released in 1991 to little-to-no fanfare outside of Japan.
Sadly the band disbanded a year later; but in 2011, Meyer revived the band with an entirely new lineup, this time being backed by the Joe Perry Project's Hagen Grohe on vocals, bassist Francois Mohr, former Krokus drummer Patrick Aeby and keyboardist Alan Guy, with an aim for touring later this year.
So, we got any fans of these guys here?
