Re: Shania Twain

I have her Greatest Hits which is enough for me but seeing the 2nd album (the one you just bought) for 5 bucks at Wal-Mart is tempting. Keep these Country threads up and we may be able to justify it's own section. BTW, glad to see you do an artist thread! Well done! :cheers2

Thanks Sooty! It was really a spur of the moment thing inspired by listening to her stuff last night and remembering how much I love her! I know country is like a four letter word here but I went for it anyway.

I had never heard of her 'til now :peek She's alright :grinthumb

Say what? Maybe country isn't too huge over in Australia?

Re: Shania Twain

Went ahead and got her greatest hits album before any of the studio albums, so that I can get a good feel for how she sounds. Haven't listened to a lot of country, but I like the genre from what i've heard in the past, so i'm sure i'll enjoy this as well.

Re: Shania Twain

I've said it for years ... she's possibly the most beautiful woman to have ever walked the face of the earth.[/IMG]

She's very attractive and you may well be right, but I would have to see her without make-up before I went as far as you do.

The most beautiful women are the ones who can pull it off without all the gunk.

Re: Shania Twain

^^I've seen her in person, she is beautiful. Does she use make-up? No doubt almost all performers do men included.

She has a natural beauty that just oozes from every pore, and a sparkling personality as well. That is part of what makes her so popular, add to that a gifted songwriter/performer and you have the complete package.

These days it's almost impossible to tell a "natural wholesome" beauty from a "photoshopped" one. Watching Transformers 1 in Blu Ray I have to say all of Megan Fox's flaws are visible, she's not nearly as attractive as some of the other pictures have portrayed her. It's to the point now many actors of both sexes add a rider to their contract to have their images "photoshopped" for High Definition films.

Re: Shania Twain

I've met Morgan Fairchild in person as well, she was also very beautiful but in a different way from Shania. Shania radiates charm, I don't know how else to explain it.

Indeed I've read studies about why people find certain things attractive in the opposite sex, kind of like an instinctive thing built into us I guess.

Our little gray cells short out completely when a "beautiful woman" gives us that look...:heheh:

Re: Shania Twain

Since you guys are on the subject, check out this article I found awhile back about "The Golden Ratio" for facial structure and beauty which may explain why men are so attracted to Shania. It's quite interesting.

University study finds Shania Twain has 'perfect' facial features - On Deadline - USATODAY.com

I wish more people appreciated her music though. Yeah she's pretty but she's also very talented as the man LG said.
yeah I've heard about that with her before (the 'perfect face' thing).

And I agree about her music, she's a very talented singer and performer. I don't think we can say she's unappreciated though. She's the proud owner of like the 6th or 7th best selling album in history and the #1 best selling album in history for a woman (any genre). That says a lot if you ask me
