Out of curiosity ANF, what radio stations do you listen to? I live just a tad north of Cincinnati and I listen to WEBN, WTUE, and The Fox.........

Rocky Mountain Way, Hotel California, More Than a Feeling, and Layla are songs that I can listen to countless times and not get tired of them. Sweet Home Alabama and Stairway To Heaven on the other hand are way to overplayed IMO.

I've seen Pat Benatar in concert a couple of times in recent years and I'm pretty sure she loathes this song. Granted, it may be the song of hers that most people remember first and possibly the most successful single she ever had, but she doesn't really have a lot of enthusiasm towards it and kind of seems to make it known. Hard to put into words what she does/says. I'll agree with this one though, played WAAAY too much on the radio, considering how many other great (and better) tunes she has.

I saw her once a few years back and remember her telling the audience how sick she was of the song but that she does it because it was such a big hit. But she claims to hate Fire And Ice too yet she won't perform that one. I dunno about you but I'd be much more excited to hear her do that one to Hit Me.

I haven't heard her do Fire and Ice since the 80's. The last time I saw her a few years back, she didn't do it and never even mentioned it. Her voice is still pretty damn good after all these years, but I got the feeling she didn't do it because of the high notes, and rather than sacrifice part of the song, she just didnt do it (that was just an assumption of mine though).

And yeah, if I had a choice between Fire and Ice vs Hit Me... I'd take Fire and Ice any day of the week, and twice on Sundays. One of my favorites of hers.

Regarding the high notes, she didn't do Shadows Of The Night when I saw her either. Likely that and F&I were cut because of the high notes.

It was via her "Synchronistic Wanderings" set where she listed that Fire And Ice isn't among her favorite songs.

Ahh ok. She did Shadows the last time I saw her, but it was a different arrangement. It was pretty cool, but it wasn't the same.

You Shook Me All Night Long should be on the poll over Back in Black, that is way overplayed.

My five were "Sweet Home Alabama", "More Than a Feeling", "Layla", "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Takin' Care of Business". My five most overplayed songs by bands not on the list are "Maggie May" Rod Stewart, "No More Mr. Nice Guy" Alice Cooper, "Tiny Dancer" Elton John, "Dreams" Fleetwood Mac and "For What It's Worth" Buffalo Springfield. My first four inductions into the solo Beatles overplayed Hall of Fame are "Imagine" by John, "Jet" by Paul, "My Sweet Lord" by George and "You're Sixteen" by Ringo.

I forgot to vote in the one...but I am picking one song that was played to the point I couldn't listen to it for a number of years afterward.

Stairway to Heaven, by Led Zeppelin.

Honorable mention Hey Jude by the Beatles.

For whatever reason from the early 70's to the 80's FM radio played those two tracks to death. But after years of not listening to FM radio anymore I can play IV all the way through, and listen to Hey Jude without hitting the mute button.

Sweet Home Alabama is definitely in the top ten as well.
