I figure the new stuff will sound like the album Bon Jovi did a few years back "Lost Highway",it will have a country feel to it while staying true to who he is.

It's gonna be great!! :grinthumb

Yeah I think it's gonna have a rock side still, good melodies and that awesome voice!

I expect a few goosebumps from hearing it, I'm sure.

No, but seeing Zander with a Cowboy hat and saying he's releasing a country album just leads me to believe it's going to be just another rocker using that market to stay relevant.

I think the term country is a misnomer anyway, it's more like "Light Rock" than country most of the time, that genre is choked with pop and rock and country artists nowadays so the line is blurred.

Hmmmm.....I don't know about this one. It takes more than a good voice to make a country album. I grew up listening to country on Saturday nights when my parents use to haul me and my cousins downtown to the Saturday night jamboree. I can't stand today's country for the most part. That's how I got interested in bluegrass. Couldn't take the glitz and glamour anymore of today's country. Even when Dylan made Nashville Skyline after listening to the album my brother-in-law had I didn't care for it except for Lay Lady Lay which is one of my favorite songs. Some people think if you put a pedal steel on a song it's country.

I do like Dolly Parton's grassified version of Collective Soul's "Shine" though. I kind of agree with LG that so many folks are trying to do crossover albums nowadays because there is a huge country base out there. When it comes out, I'll give it a listen. Surprise me Zander and do country proud for once.

This is an out take that the up loader said may be a song on his new CD.

Sort of a country/Buddy Holly feel called

I wonder if "Love Comes" is the same song as the Cheap Trick song?
