OK, I know that very few of us around here take the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame very seriously...but when I heard tonight that Madonna's going in, that really took the cake.
Now, I'm not really an anti-Madonna person like a lot of folks. I actually have enjoyed a fair amount of her music, and she actually occupies a small corner of my CD collection--but Rock and Roll Hall of Fame??? This is one woman who should have never made it there, even at the low level of credibility that Rock Hall has descended to in recent years.
And John Mellencamp isn't all that bad, but can these folks have really exhausted all of the deserving artists and groups that have still not been given this recognition.
I think of the band Yes immediately...they're still not in, right? Maybe at this point they should wear their exclusion like a medal...
