OK, now I know what it looks like in full, I saw one of these at the car show I went to on Sunday! It was a massive beast in bright yellow, beautiful car! :D

^^ Larry the cable guy did a show about bootleggars and a guy had a cherry one with a beefed up engine and suspension which was used back in the prohibiton days for running booze through the back roads of Arkansas during the depression.. Fast car.. They could out run the cop cars..

That's a 1942 Chevy Fleetmaster.. The car of choice for bootleggers and Army staff cars.. Also known as a five passenger coupe with suicide rear doors!!

Woooooooooo! I (almost) knew my shit. Almost. Sort of.

Suicide rear doors? Why do they call them so?

Suicide doors were not uncommon on cars manufactured in the first half of the 20th century. They were especially popular in the gangster era of the 1930s supposedly because "It's a lot easier to shove somebody out with the wind holding the door open".
