Probably my favorite 'trane album. Has been for years. Nothin' more uplifting than this gathering of top shelf jazz musicians. Right place at the right time. Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, Kenny Drew, Paul Chambers and of course Philly Joe Jones. Philly Joe backed up so many significant Hard Bop recordings - Miles, Sonny Rollins (Tenor Madness slams), even the peerless Bill Evans among others. I love most any Coltrane (The Johnny Hartmann/Coltrane album is so fine) with Elvin jones and the later quartet but Blue Train is a delight.
