yeah, maybe it's not really the stones but it's the one that I can't get enough of right now.

runners up:
Let it Bleed
the unofficial theme song of my teenaged years in the seventies.

Ruby Tuesday/Dandelion
almost the same song, aren't they?
so damned pretty, both of them.

I can't believe I left off "Dandelion" and "Ruby Tuesday"...and "She's A Rainbow", for that matter, which may actually be my favorite Stones tune of all. For some reason, I forget those songs when thinking of the Stones in general, because they're so different than everything else.

And "As Tears Go By" was a really beautiful tune as well, as was "Lady Jane"...

Memo from Turner is a great song. Why would you say it's not really the Stones? It got used in "Goodfellas" too.

As for favorite......depends on my mood, so I guess the following are all runner ups...

Sister Morphine
Dead Flowers
Let it Loose
Shine a Light
Memory Motel
Winter

once bitten, twice shy. I've had Stones fans bite my face off for calling it a stones track. sounds like the stone to me! I guess maybe there's some dispute over who plays on it and I don't think Richards plays on it at all.

you're right, so what. Richards doesn't play on 'moonlight mile' and nobody ever says anything about that.

I've been told that Charlie Watts didn't drum on "You Can't Always Get What You Want." Couldn't find the right beat, apparently.
