Re: Nirvana & Kurt

I was just upstairs in my room listening to my In Utero cassette, and came across this song. I really like it, and not many people tend to bring it up when Nirvana is discussed:

Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle - Nirvana

Re: Nirvana & Kurt

Such a shame Kurt and Nirvana's career was cut so short with the tragic event on April 5th, 1994. I was only 2 years old when he died.:wa
A tad late on replying to this, but I was born 4 months after his death, unfortunately. It would've been cool to grow up with his music.

Born a month after his death. 1 month and 1 day.

Re: Nirvana & Kurt

I was born in 1992 myself, but was never old enough to see him live. I'd give my left nut to see Nirvana live!

Used to be massively obsessed with Nirvana, but cooled off over the last few years. I was just short of my 6th birthday when Kurt died and only 4 when Nirvana played their [legendary] final UK gig at the Reading Festival.

In Utero is my favourite album.

I was only 2 when Kurt died so I didn't know of them at all. I got into them in 9th grade and figured I'd get bored with them after a couple months or something but I've kept listening. Kurt's easy guitar playing inspired me to play guitar. First stuff I learned was all Nirvana, I abused the hell out of power chords. Kept me interested enough to learn new stuff.

I didn't know until recently that Smells Like Teen Spirit was inspired by the main riff in More Than A Feeling. That's kinda cool.

Yeah, have you seen the 'Live at Reading' DVD? In it, before playing Smells Like Teen Spirit, they all mess up and it turns into a really sloppy cover of MTAF -- :heheh:
