For Your Consideration:

Just Loads and Loads of Beatle songs.... :phones:

Nat King Cole -- Unforgetable duet with Natalie Cole / The Very Thouhgt Of You / L-O-V-E / Tenderly / This Can't Be Love / That Sunday, That Summer

Roberta Flack -- The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face / Feel Like Makin' Love / Killing Me Softly With His Song

The Who -- Love Reign o'er Me

Reunited -- by whomever....

Led Zeppelin -- Thank You, All Of My Love, Ten Years Gone

Hmm...in trying to think about it, I'm not actually very fond of love songs, it seems. Ah what the heck...in no particular order:

1) The Flame - Cheap Trick
2) Something - The Beatles
3) Be Mine - R.E.M.
4) Songbird - Fleetwood Mac

Okay, that's all I can think of off the top of my head with the limited time I've got to be here so I'll continue to think on it and get back to you all. LOL

At the dark end of the street
1. For Once In My Life - Stevie Wonder
2. Something - The Beatles
3. More Love - Smokey Robinson and the Miracles
4. Love Minus Zero/No Limit - Bob Dylan
5. Crazy Love - Van Morrison
6. Something So Right - Paul Simon
7. Everlasting Love - Robert Knight
8. (You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin
9. Don't Worry Baby - The Beach Boys
10. Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher - Jackie Wilson
11. My Girl - The Temptations
12. Too Busy Thinking About My Baby - Marvin Gaye
13.
14.
15.
16.
17.
18.
19.
20.

That's a lot harder than I thought! I'm having trouble thinking of authentic, unabashed love songs that aren't about love lost or lust or so tinged with irony that they don't seem heartfelt. It's past my bedtime but I'll come back to finish the task...

I really tried to come up with some love songs But I have found out I'm just not that into them. My mind keeps wondering off to something like...
Roxanne, you don;t have to turn on your red light. How about "What's love got to do with it" or "Don't come round here no more". I guess the only really great love song I can think of is"Love is Blue". At least it doesn't get to mushy.
