What are some percs that come with being a musician.

1) If you are a male and can play an instrument or sing you can be the ugliest, poorest, mofo out there and still get a girl.
2)You have a talent that can translate intor multiple money making opportunities.

I want to hear some others from the CRF musicians

Man, if this ain't the gospel truth, I don't know what is!

Hell, you don't even have to have much talent OR be able to sing. As long as you have the ability to get on stage, you are good to go. Being a good musician or singer just gives you a better selection, that's all.

I am not a musician, but I would think one perk would be having fans.

There is a local band here where I live that puts on a fairly decent show and they have fans. People who will drive the extra distance to hear them play. I think having the respect and admiration of fans would be so cool.

Oh I can definitely realte to that. I love touring and playing in other cities, but there is nothing better than coming home to D.C. and playing a show here. So many people come that I know come. Friends from high school, some of my guitar students, and family. Also the regulars then have been coming to see me for the last 8 years of my life that i have been seriously playing gigs.

It allows you to express. Not yourself, not your surroundings. Just how it all makes you feel, everything that's added into your mind like some freak smoothie. But every once in a while you take a sip that is truly delicious, and those moments of pure magic are the ultimate perk of being a guitar player. Something inseparable from you. When you create your own music, you have one of the few freedoms that are truly available.
