If I wanted to punish myself, I could list shit from the rap/hip-hop genre, but no way in hell am I going to. Same with a lot of Top 40 crap over the past 20-30 years. Black Eyed Peas has to be near the top and I'm not sure what craptastic category you'd put them into. That Milkshake song that Kellis did a few years back. Eeesh, I'd rather listen to some of the Pixies and the Smiths back to back to back over that (which is just about equivelant yet more painful than shoving ice picks in my ears... but we are talking about lyrics so.. yeah).

I have no objection to someone having their own opinions, but calling a songwriter whose lyrical achievements have gotten him widespread acclaim and several Nobel Prize nominations "dumb" is not really fair or valid.

I find it very difficult to argue with such sentiments. By now, Dylan's impact on the literary community might outweigh his musical impact. You'll hear writers and English professors raving about him, but not so much average listeners or modern musicians. Of course, none of this is meant to take away from my love of his music, as Dylan is my favorite artist (he or the Stones; it's always going back and forth). But he actually inspired me NOT to be a musician and to pursue my love of words.

Feldy, she did not write the song. It was written by Clarence Jey and Patrice Wilson who own the ARK Music Factory, which produced the video and are responsible for the delivery. Black herself said that she sang it like they told her to.
