Not what's in the Guiness book, but the LOUDEST show you've personally been to. For me, it's a toss-up.

Crabby Appleton and/or Led Zeppelin.

Who is it for you?

P.S. Hope this hasn't been done before.

without a doubt for me it was guns and roses when they opened for the stones. i went with a friend of mine who played his stereo so loud that i always had to wear earplugs in his house when we got older. when he begged me to walk outside of the arena cause it was too loud for him (and we had earplugs on) i knew that it was freaking LOUD. the next day the local rock station was talking about how people miles away were calling the stadium and complaining about the noise. BTW..they were great just ear-splitting..

Two shows really stand out.

Scorpions, early 80's, Anaheim stadium.
I was right against a wall of speakers as big as a house.

Deep Purple, 90 or 91, Irvine Meadows.

My ears are still ringing.

ELO's Out of the Blue tour in '77. I could hardly stand the volume, honestly. Also this was the "grassiest" concert I ever attended. My wife and I (still just dating at the time) have never smoked pot, but we got high off second hand smoke from the row just in front of us!

Been to a lot of loud concerts. Can't say which was louder than another but at a Rainbow sound check, I was standing in front of a speaker talking to someone when a guitar chord was struck and I swear I could physically feel the sound hit my body. LOL

I'm just waiting for the hearing loss to start from several years of listening to loud music and for several years of wearing headphones.

Huh? :D

These are the three that stand out over the years.

David Lee Roth 1986 Eat 'Em & Smile tour

Deep Purple 1985 Perfect Strangers tour, 2004 Bananas tour.

Blue Oyster Cult with the Tubes opening. My ears are still ringing!!

The sound was nice and clear too - no distortion and clipping whatsoever.

Toss up between Grand Funk in '82 (sitting about 10 feet in front of the PA speakers) or Iron Maiden a couple of years ago.
