I've played it three times myself, and right now I feel the same as you P&C, I am disappointed it is...well I hate to say it but it sounds eminently boring and forgettable to me right now, and I really like RH. :dunno:

Yeah, I wanted to like it as well, i'm probably going to listen to it today just for kicks, but it's not really my favorite new release of this year. Plus, it's too short, I think they could've done a lot better.

^^Yes it is too short, but seriously if that's the best they can do another 30 minutes won't change my mind. It's not terrible or anything, but I couldn't help but feel that something was missing, and I can think of 1,000's of other albums I would rather listen to.

I'll play it a couple more times before giving up altogether, but as of right now as far as new releases by Big bands, this one would get my vote as disappointment of the year.

^Good point, I suppose making it longer would make it sort of drag on longer.

I suppose my personal disappointment could come from the high expectation that I had for the album, though I guess that's natural considering they've had a lot of other great work. I agree with you though, there was something missing, it doesn't have that "Radiohead hit" that I was hoping for.

^^I wouldn't say that Cream'd, but to me it just seems like something is missing...perhaps the Full special edition will change my mind, but I have played it 4 times now and I just am not excited yet... :think:

I've not heard it yet. Would you say it's as disappointing as Hail to the Thief, LG, cos that would be a real bummer!

I won't say that yet Tray,,,I'll be patient and play it at least 2-3 more times but right now I am not sold on it as one of their best efforts... :think:

Gonna give it another listen myself. I don't think much will change though. It's not that i'm dead set on it being a bad album, i'm just used to being impressed with an album fairly quickly.

Umm if this is the whole release it would be disappointing (especially cause I consider hail to the thief one of my favourite albums so I don't know how to use that scale

). The songs are quite good but the album doesn't feel complete at all. I'm waiting for it all to come out before I make any final statements
