These are amazing. I love Metallica.:grinthumb I like their early work the most. I guess the only album that really doesn't appeal to me is Death Magnethic, even tough it was better than St. Anger. They lost their spirit, and I found both St. Anger and Death Magnethic very boring, compared with older albums.

Re: Metallica

I must say and lots of ya will disagree with me I guess.
Their covers are very bad made, I really dislike everything they cover.

Nazareth cover

Budgie cover

For me Metallica is way overrated band in the world, kids are still saying "oh, this is the first metal band you should listen to" and they pick up guitar, play NEM and they think the skills are very advanced. Urgh...

Some songs on Death Magnetic were rather boring I agree.

Re: Metallica

I like almost all of Metallica's music but Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning are my favourite albums by them. They started to get too refined once the 90's come around, wish they would've stayed a bit more underwraps and maintained that raw thrash sound they had in the 80's.

I can agree with you to an extent, but a lot of people say the 90's on wasn't that good for them. I honestly don't think Death Magnetic was as bad as people say it is. It's actually quite good for a Metallica release.

Im glad they did do some experimenting with the blues/hard rock type material, I actually enjoy a fair bit of it, especially Load and the Black album.

Magnetic was a 'true' return to form so to speak after St Anger.
I think people may dislike St Anger but not fully understand that was an angry album based on the tension of the band lol.

Yeah, St. Anger gets a lot of hate, but it's easily understandable as to why. Though, I think you're right, not a lot of people know the concept behind the album, and just assume that Metallica really meant it to be that bad. I wouldn't think they would, that'd be unfortunate otherwise.

Watch the film clips of St Anger studio songs, the quality is way superior to what was on the album, heck the sounds of production prior to Lars making that drum snares were better.
On the movie I heard I think Sweet Amber with a guitar solo, I wish that had not been changed :( I liked it.
