Valley Of The Queens is still a beautiful song...love the recorder and flute sections in this.

Re: Ayreon

I really like this band after hearing them! One of the best finds I've encountered here! :grinthumb

I always like when I listen to an album I like and go back in the thread and see a comment I don't remember making already! At least this shows I wasn't bullshitting about liking them the first time :oyea: because I have listened to the debut and it's simply AWESOME! Now this is metal I want to here! I guess if I'm going to account for all the music research I've done recently that I dare say I'm a progressive fan on some level and it seems Progressive Metal most fills my metal preferences.

The album I started with is of course the debut "The Final Experiment" and Metal was right when he said it had EVERYTHING. I heard metal, rock, classical, folk and even soul elements in the music. The vocalist were all top notch and picked well. My favorite vocalist I believe was the vocalist that had the Axl Rose vibe in Act IV: Merlin's Will and the very last section of ACT IV! One of the vocalist had a Micheal McDonald vibe to me which may sound crazy or even offensive to some who don't like him but I feel that vocal gave it the soul vibe it had in some tracks. My favorite parts were Act: III: Waracle (really soulful with great use of backup singers), Act IV: The Charm of the Seer (loved the opera singer in that one) and the following instrumental Swan song! Hell, the closing track is so epic and awesome as well!!! Not a bad tracks on the album honestly!!! Great album LG!!!!! I can see why you and Metal like this guy so much!!! :cheers2
