Remember these guys??? The 80's put out a winner with this band from Philadelphia, fronted by Dizzy Dean Davidson and an unknown ex-Cinderella member, guitarist...Michael Kelly Smith who was in an earlier version of the band.

Dean Davidson left the band after the release of their second album Boys In Heat only to be replaced by Tommy Paris . Britny Fox's debut album was the biggest selling NEW band album of the season for 1988-1989, selling over ONE MILLION copies!!

In 2010 Davidson attempted to re-unite the original line up of himself, Michael, Billy Childs and Johnny Dee...let's hope one day we can see them for one more brief hard rockin' moment!!

Let's have some fun now....:cheers2

These guys aren't to bad MP! I remember hearing how they were like the last group of their kind before Grunge came and changed the scene of music. I admit I love the grunge era but it's sad that the two types of music couldn't have coexisted. It's weird how one trend cancels another out! I don't get it! :bonk: **** trendiness! :heheh:

I always liked Britny Fox. They did a great cover version of Alex Harvey's Midnight Moses which would have been an anthem had they covered it a couple of years earlier (I really thought their cover was that Good but by the time it came out in 1991 that style was being replaced by grunge)

The first album without Dizzy Dean (who went on to form Blackeyed Susan) was "Bite Down Hard"...when he was replaced by Tommy Paris.

Blackeyed Susan Very cool stuff....:****:

I saw these guys live on their reunion tour in 2001, with the second singer Tommy Paris. They put on a really solid show and actually proved to be the best band of the night. Not a bad feat considering they were on a bill with Slaughter, Vince Neil and Stephen Pearcy. Slaughter was good but Neil and Pearcy both turned in awful sets.

I was also one of the few who enjoyed the Springhead Motorshark album they did in 03'. Had a modern, updated sound that pissed off a lot of their old fans, but I liked it. Very experimental.

In all honesty, their finest album is their live record from 2000-2001, titled Long Way To Live. The versions of the songs sound better than they did on their studio albums.

Yeah, I like this band. I've only checked out their first two albums so far, both of which are really good. "Girlschool" is an absolute rocker of a song. They also did a really cool cover of Nazareth's Hair of the Dog:

Saw Brittny Fox open for RATT in 89. The bill was KIX, Brittny Fox, Ratt. Kix was a great act. No fluff with them....Brittny Fox ? When they came out i wasn't sure if it was serious ! Even though it, was the glam heyday, this was over the top ! They were a tight group and had an act. Ratt was ok that night...best part was watching Warren Dimartini play and Bobby Blotzer's drum solo. I latter saw BF's video for girl School. Over the top glam...ill give em that.
