Stone The Crows. A blues/soul/rock band from Glasgow that released four albums from 1970-72. Led by vocalist Maggie Bell who was often compared to Janis Joplin, bassist James Dewar that went onto play with Robin Trower, guitarist Les Harvey, brother of Alex Harvey, and guitarist Jimmy McCulloch who went on to play with Paul McCartney and Wings. Les Harvey died on stage as he got electrocuted.
I hadn't thought about how much talent we've produced up here in this little corner of the globe. Makes me proud........... 
One of my favourites was Frankie Miller. He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in 1994 and is still recovering.

Although Jethro Tull may not be considered from Scotland, I believe this gent is...

Stone the Crows ,Donovan....some really inspired choices
My personal faves are
DREAM DISCIPLES .......Superb gothic rock band that deserved to be big ....they were very talented,great musicians,great singer...and great live too.Sadly they split a few years ago. FISH ex MARILLION produced one of their albums, it was really good he had faith in the band....but the production on the album was so dissapointingly plain...I think he misunderstood DREAM DISCIPLES what they should sound like.......check out these gems the band did without him !!!
