England, that quaint village on the other side of
Orson - Bright Idea

American band doing very well in the UK right now. A mix of all kinds of influences. It's rock but with a cool vibe.......reminds me a little of INXS in feel.

Towers Of London - Blood, Sweat and Towers

If you like the Punk sound of The Sex Pistols and their ilk then this album is for you. Londoners who take you back to the Spirit of '76.
Not for everyone but it's brilliantly done.

Has anyone heard of Canadian singer Leslie Feist? I've been listening to her album called Let It Die lots since I've got it. Shes also recently released an album of remix and collaborations called Open Season in April which I also have. I also hope to see her live when she plays @ The Vancouver Folk Festival in July.

Thought I'd give a recommend to Jenny Lewis & The Thompson Twins - Rabbit Fur Coat. Kind of country/folky with a weird twist. :D

Jenny Lewis is the lead singer for Rilo Kiley, btw.

Yeah I really like that one as well MW. Its one of my favourite releases of 06 so far along with Neko Case's Fox Confessor Brings The Flood. I'm kinda disappointed in myself that I missed the oppurtuinty to see Jenny live when she was playing here in support of her new album earlier this year.

Yep, Neko Case is another favorite of mine. Great album. I just love her voice. She and Jenny Lewis are quickly becoming my favorite female vocalists. :phones:
